West Byfleet crash lands motorcyclist in hospital with fractured leg

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash in West Byfleet on Monday night (November 13).

The incident happened at around 8pm in Old Woking Road at the traffic lights near Waitrose.

Officers from Surrey Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service personnel attended the scene, closing the road.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said a motorbike and a car collided at the lights.

The biker was taken to St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey with fractures to his right leg, the spokesman added.

A resident said the road was partially reopened by 9.30pm and traffic had cleared.
