A man who was the subject of a police appeal after he failed to turn up at a court appearance has been arrested and charged.

Police said Zac Alexander, 26, failed to appear at court on December 12 regarding assault charges and was wanted for breaching a probation order.

Officers also wanted to speak to him about an incident that took place in Walton.

Mr Alexander, who has links to the Elmbridge area, was arrested on January 11 in West Molesey after police put out an appeal to find him.

He has been remanded in custody until May 28, when he will appear at Kingston Crown Court charged with two counts of assault, one count of GBH and one count of burglary.
