Tributes and flowers left for ‘Tony’ at Guildford’s York Road car park

Tributes and flowers have been left for a man named ‘Tony’ at York Road car park in Guildford .

The bouquets and tributes were pictured on Monday morning (October 15) and refer to the man as a “lovely happy guy”.

The messages and flowers are thought to be in memory of a man in his 50s, who was found in the wooded area of the car park with serious injuries on October 8.

He was treated by ambulance crews but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Surrey Police says that there is no third party involvement in the death and that it is not being treated as suspicions.

One of the messages read: “Tony such a lovely happy guy. My memories with you will always in my heart. Rest in peace. All our love Gemma, Malcolm, Lee and Maisie xxxx”.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said: “A man with serious injuries who was discovered in a wooded area next to the York Road car park in Guildford has sadly died.

“An investigation is under way to establish the circumstances of his death but it is not believed to be suspicious or that there is any third party involvement.”
