Trial of Weybridge man facing five charges of child sex offences gets under way

The trial of a man from Weybridge who is charged with five child sex offences has begun at Guildford Crown Court.

Mr Vasiq Moughal, 60, is charged with one count of causing a child to be engaged in sexual activity, one count of possession of indecent images, one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and two further counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child.

The trial began on Monday, June 11 and is scheduled to run until Friday, June 15.

In August, last year, Surrey Police said: “A 59-year-old man has been charged with four counts of sexual offences against children.

“Vasiq Moughal, from Weybridge, was charged with offences that took place while he was employed as a community transport driver.”
