The Spa at Coworth Park review: Swim alongside huge amethyst crystals at luxury hotel

If it’s good enough for Prince Harry and William, it’s good enough for me..!

The royal brothers stayed at Coworth Park the night before Harry’s wedding to Meghan in May 2018.

Located a stone’s throw over the Surrey border next to Virginia Water , the five star luxury hotel in Sunningdale is certainly something else, especially its pool.

It comes as no surprise that The Spa at Coworth Park is award-winning.

Not only does it look impressive from the outside – set within 240 acres of picturesque parkland – the opulent interior will take your breath away.

A highlight in the pampering house is an atmospheric indoor pool with natural light, underwater music, relaxation loungers and… huge sparkling amethyst sculptures.

The pool-side is lined with no more than 15 mighty purple crystals dazzling in the water.

Guests can swim in awe alongside the show-stopping feature, plus enjoy all of the other glorious facilities including a eucalyptus-infused steam room, experience shower, gym, treatment room and restaurant.

Treatments

The spa offers an indulgent range of treatments including, facials, massages, pregnancy treatments, manicure and pedicures, all of which will relax and revitalise your mind and body.

A perfect birthday treat or perhaps a gift for Mother’s Day , treatments are uniquely luxurious and are guaranteed to immerse you with peaceful relaxation and tranquility.

Spa day itineraries are personalised, which means individuals receive exactly what is right for them so that they can fall into a haven of sheer bliss from the get-go.

The Personalised Aromatherapy Massage (priced from £95) is a wonderful option if you want to be pampered from head to toe and dissolve any stresses and tensions you have.

This authentic aromatherapy experience starts with a consultation to discuss any emotional and physical needs.

Using a chosen oil, the therapist will apply gentle pressure to stimulate the nervous system, while Swedish and neuromuscular techniques relieve tension and the lymphatic drainage will encourage healthy circulation.

Before or after a treatment, clients can indulge in a tranquil treatment relaxation room with garden views and sumptuous sofas.

Equipped with books and magazines, herbal teas and fruit water, plus some healthy nibbles, it’s a beautiful space to escape.

The Spatisserie

With expansive views of the spa garden, wildflower meadow and polo fields, the spa restaurant is an elegant retreat.

In fine weather the bi-folding doors can be flung open and guests can enjoy a menu of light healthy meals, afternoon tea and a variety of hold and cold drinks.

Alongside soups, salads and sandwiches, there is a special Wellness Pick N Mix Platter for £25 per person, offering a combination of detox and indulgent options.

Accompanied with a warm bread roll, guests can choose four mini dishes to make up their plate.

Nourishing items include golden beetroot, orange and ginger juice, sugar snap peas, glass noodle salad with fermented cabbage and sesame, cured salmon, avocado, soy and lime and crème fraiche with blackberry, hibiscus and buckwheat.

As you would expect, everything is presented delicately, delivered with sophistication and charm and tastes exceptional.
