Teenagers arrested after ‘fight with weapons’ in Weybridge

Six people were arrested, including five teenagers, following a “violent” fight in Weybridge.

Police were called to an address in Pine Grove at around 4.25pm on Wednesday (October 2), following reports that a number of people, some armed with weapons, were fighting in a driveway.

Two teenagers, aged 18 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of affray, assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

Another 18-year-old was detained on suspicion of affray, assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.

Two other teenagers, aged 15 and 17, were held on suspicion of affray.

A 51-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of affray but was taken to St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey after suffering chest pains.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said paramedics went to Angas Court at around 4.30pm.

“A man suffered injuries to his neck and back and was treated at the scene, before being taken to St Peter’s Hospital,” he said.

An air ambulance also responded to the incident, landing on Churchfields Recreation Ground.

A teenager was treated at the scene by a doctor from the air ambulance before he was also taken to hospital.
