Surrey weather: Five-day forecast as temperatures as high as 24°C predicted across the county

It looks like spring may have finally arrived!

In fact, it could even feel more like summer this week as temperatures of up to 24 degrees have been forecast.

So it’s time to get out your sunnies and make sure you’ve got your sun cream in your bag.

The week will get off to a more breezy start on Monday (April 16) but will get warmer as the days go on with a high of 24 degrees predicted for Thursday (April 19) in Woking.

A Weather Channel spokesman said: “High pressure is expected to become strongly dominant over Europe, reaching maximum effect with mostly sunny and dry weather and gentle winds with well above normal temperatures by next Wednesday.”

Here is what you can expect over the next five days…

Monday (April 16)

So we’ll be able to start feeling the sun on Monday but don’t worry, this is just the beginning.

According to the Met Office: “A deep area of low pressure in the Atlantic will bring a breezy start to the new week” but we should still be feeling “fairly warm sunshine”.

Guildford should reach around 10 degrees.

Tuesday (April 17)

It will begin to get significantly hotter on Tuesday.

The Met Office said there will be “plenty of warm sunshine in the south east.”

In Staines , expect sunny intervals with highs of 19 degrees.

Wednesday (April 18)

The Met Office said: “High pressure will start to build by midweek, bringing drier and sunnier weather for many.”

In Reigate , temperatures should peak at around 3pm with a very respectable 21 degrees.

Thursday (April 19)

Thursday is expected to be the hottest day of the week with the Met Office telling us to “expect another lovely day”.

Warm air will spread from the continent and we should expect “strong spring sunshine”.

We should even feel 24 degree heat in Woking !

Friday (April 20)

You should all have that Friday feeling at the end of the week as there will be “plenty of dry, warm and sunny weather”.

So make sure to make plans to look forward to after work – you could even get the barbecue out!
