In honour of Princess Eugenie ‘s wedding tomorrow (October 12), a school in Chobham has decided to host a royal wedding-themed day for its pupils.

Coworth Flexlands School has planned “a day of fun activities” for its pupils in celebration of the fact that Princess Eugenie attended the school herself.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s marriage will mark the second royal wedding of the year, following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ceremony back in May.

The school’s morning activities will include games and entertainment with a royal theme – decorating cupcakes, ‘majestic music’, crown making, regal dance and drama, and computing fun.

At lunchtime, the children and staff will sit down together to enjoy a ‘banquet’ lunch and will have the opportunity to dress up as guests for the royal wedding.

The afternoon will feature a royal party with tiara games, music, royal puzzles and colouring.

A spokesman for the school said: “Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice were both pupils at Coworth Park School, so the wedding is of special significance to us.

“A group of school children and staff have been invited to join the celebrations at the Royal Wedding on 12 October 2018 at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.”

In order to share the celebrations with the local community, some staff are planning to deliver the cupcakes to Dormy House in Sunningdale, White Lodge in Chertsey and Sunrise Home in Bagshot .
