Police dog finds £1,200 of cannabis hidden in woodland near Dorking

Police dog PD Sox found £1,200 worth of cannabis following a search in woodland area near Dorking.

Surrey Police said it had received reports of possible drugs found in a wooded area near Highland Road in Beare Green at around 4pm on Saturday (October 20).

Officers attended with search dogs, including PD Sox who was credited with the find via the Surrey Sussex Dog unit twitter account.

Multiple bags, containing what is believed to be cannabis, were found in the area.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.

A tweet in the early hours of Sunday (October 21) morning showed the contents of what was found.

It read: “PD Sox has been finding £1,200 drugs hidden in woodland in the Dorking area @MoleValleyBeat #dogteamwork CB.”
