Police appeal to find ‘vulnerable’ man missing from Chipstead residential home

Concern is growing for the welfare of a “vulnerable” man who went missing from a residential home in Chipstead .

Police are appealing to find Derek Saunders, who was last seen at around 2pm on Tuesday (October 9).

A spokesman for Surrey Police said: “We are appealing for help in finding a vulnerable man who went missing from a residential home in Chipstead.

“Derek Saunders, 64, was last seen around 2pm and officers are concerned for his welfare.”

Derek is described as as white, 5ft 8 tall, of medium build with short grey hair. He may have stubble or he may be clean-shaven.


He was wearing a black and white striped tee-shirt, black trousers and grey shoes when he went missing.

Derek grew up in the Peckham area and may still have links to the area.
