Man and woman allegedly assaulted at Bagshot railway station

A man and woman were allegedly assaulted at Bagshot railway station on Wednesday (August 8).

British Transport Police (BTP) were called to the station at 5.17pm to reports that “an altercation had taken place”.

The force confirmed that a 24-year-old man from Ascot was arrested on suspicion of affray and was still in police custody as of 2.50pm on Thursday (August 9).

Surrey Police tweeted that it had also attended the incident with a picture of four police vehicles at the scene.

BTP officers said they were “continuing to investigate the incident and establish the circumstances of what happened.”

The force is therefore appealing for witnesses to come forward.
