M25 traffic: Three vehicle crash causes long delays on the M25 near Wisley Interchange

A three vehicle crash that left one car facing the wrong way on the M25 near Wisley led to delays of up to an hour on Monday morning (April 16).

The collision, between two cars and a lorry, occurred at aroun 5.50am on the clockwise carriageway between Cobham Services and Junction 10 for Wisley.

The crash led to long delays stretching back as far as Leatherhead and Reigate while one lane was closed to recover the vehicles.

All lanes were re-opened at around 7am but traffic remained heavy in the area.

The car left facing the wrong way was recovered by emergency services while the other car and lorry were moved to the hard shoulder.

Emergency services reported that there were no injuries and that no one was trapped.

Crews attended the scene at around 6am

Firefighter Andrew Billam from Leatherhead fire station said “There was an incident this morning on the M25, but Pains Hill fire station were dealing with most of it.

“There was nobody trapped or injured so it was just a case of making the scene safe.”
