Large knives seized from youths in two separate police incidents in Elmbridge

Large knives have been seized from youths by Surrey Police in two separate incidents in Elmbridge .

The first teenager, aged just 13, was arrested in Walton on Tuesday night (January 9) after officers found a large kitchen knife about his person.

A similar incident happened in West Molesey on Wednesday evening (January 10) at around 8pm.

Officers were alerted to three youths acting suspiciously in the area.

After searching the youths, officers found a knife, this time on a 15-year-old. Surrey Police said the youths involved were “being dealt with”.

A spokesman for the force said: “We will not tolerate anyone carrying weapons, and if you ignore this advice, expect to be dealt with.”
