What’s going on in Guildford?

“Chyoo guys. I’ll show you guys what’s going on. Me and the boys are currently inside Guildford Spectrum just now,” said Mr Brewer when introducing the challenge.

In another scene, workers enter the building and ask how they got in, in which the group respond by saying they are there to “film a promotional video”.

When heading onto mission two, it shows the group at the ice-rink looking for skates to take to the ice.

Throughout they do not reveal how they managed to get into the building but stated if you were following My Brewer’s Snapchat you would know.

The video ends with the 18-year-old on the ice-rinks sound system, saying: “Alright guys, that’s the overnight challenge. I hope you guys enjoyed.

The Spectrum is ran by Freedom Leisure and the building is owned by Guildford Borough Council (GBC).

Guildford Spectrum in Parkwayis where the group stayed overnight for their “ultimate challenge”

A spokesman for the not-for-profit leisure group told Get Surrey: “On January 9 four males were able to remain overnight in the Guildford Spectrum to film themselves in the pool and ice rink areas subsequently posting the video online.

“This appears to be in response to a global Internet challenge which is currently trending and has seen other profile facilities targeted.

“While we understand this may look like simple good fun, it is our concern that someone could be at risk of serious injury and in a position with no support.

“In addition, the facilities could have easily been damaged by the actions of these individuals which would inconvenience many of our customers, thus we do not condone this activity and are currently working with the police who are taking the matter very seriously.”

GBC stated that they “are concerned about the situation and are working closely with Freedom Leisure who manage Spectrum on our behalf”.
