Drivers escape with ‘minor injuries’ after two car crash leaves one vehicle overturned in Hersham

Two drivers escaped with “minor injuries” after a car crash left one vehicle “overturned with smoke coming from its engine”.

The incident happened in Queensway North, Hersham on Monday evening (February 11) at around 9.45pm.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said: “Collision reported in Queensway, Hersham. One vehicle overturned with smoke coming from its engine. One car lost all four wheels.

“The drivers of both vehicles, including a Honda and a Ford van, were treated for minor injuries. The road was blocked whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.”

South East Coast Ambulance service (SECAmb) and Surrey Fire and Rescue service also attended the incident.

A spokesman for SECAmb said: “Ambulance crews attended the scene and one person was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to St Peter’s Hospital.

The patient’s injuries were not thought to be life-threatening at the time.”

A Surrey Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We were called to a two-vehicle collision in Queensway North, Hersham at around 9.45pm. Two fire engines were sent to help make the scene safe and we left at 10.40pm.”
