Together they are set to host a special one-off experience where gin lovers can quaff cocktails and enjoy a few snacks as they tipple along the train line.

Tickets get you a return journey from Alresford to Alton on a real steam train.

As your jolly jaunt gets under way you’ll be offered Winchester’s Twisted Nose Gin, which has been made with watercress that’s locally sourced from the line itself.

You will also get to nibble on Spanish delicacies from local Alresford restaurant, Pulpo Negro – so an improvement on the standard train snack bar then.

The train will hit the tracks on May 5.

Tickets are soon to be on sale here . They are expected to cost £16 per adult.

Hopefully you’ll have lots of fun, but please don’t lose track of yourself (sorry).
